I have a starting issue and want to know what you suggest. The starter won't turn over the engine. I took off the starter and it works fine on the bench. I took apart the starter and inserted the starter gear back into place and manually turned over the engine, with a lot of strength. After a few turns the engine "broke free" and could be easily be manually turned over holding the starter with my fingers. I put the starter back together and off we went for a couple hours of riding until the issue happened again. (this time 3km into the bush and I had to tow my doughter out, but thats another story). Any ideas about what it is? I have pulled the motor to take to repair but most shops tell me the motors are disposable and should just get a new one, (which is how I was referred here). Is this a piston ring that is blown? Is there anywhere to get a schematic on exactly how to take apart a lifton 110 motor? HELP.
